Three generations of corrugated cardboard creatives
In 1980, Louis-Philippe Soenen
took over the helm of Soenen Golfkarton from his grandfather. He purchased his very own corrugator and fulfilled his ambition of becoming an independent producer. Year after year, the factory in Hooglede expanded with the latest gadgets. In 1997 a new, modern production unit opened its doors, making Soenen a pioneer in Europe.
Later on, daughters Nathalie and Bénédicte, and sons-in-law Alexander and Matthias jumped on board and the third generation joined in to strengthen the family business. Today, thanks to a shared drive and passion, the family is investing in a second location in Lanklaar, where Soenen will become synonymous with creative custom-made packaging on the other side of the country as well.

1964
Soenen Golfkarton NV was founded in 1964 by Louis Soenen-Detilleux.
1980
Louis-Philippe Soenen takes over the company from his grandfather.
1984
With the purchase of its own corrugated board machine, the company evolved from sheet plant to producer.
1997
Soenen Golfkarton is expanding further with a new production unit: one of the largest and most modern ones in Europe.
2003
The original corrugator machine is replaced by two brand new corrugated machines allowing applications such as tear tape and perforations.
2008
The company invests in the Bobst Masterflex, a flexo printing press that guarantees a high and constant print quality in seven colours.
2013
Soenen's back office moves to a new office building in Hooglede.
2014
The fiftieth anniversary of Soenen Golfkarton is crowned with the construction of a fully automated high-bay warehouse. A special milestone that ensures significant process optimisation.
2020
In order to be able to respond as much as possible to a wide range of demands, we are switching to a single-pass digital printing press.
2021
Construction work for our new factory in Lanklaar, ensuring 250 jobs, has started.

High-quality service from Hooglede to Lanklaar
You may know Soenen Golfkarton from our extensive production site in Hooglede. Our state-of-the-art corrugated board factory offers no fewer than 20 processing machines for countless corrugated board applications. Every day, about 60 loads leave with our own transport company, which means that we can deliver quickly and flexibly.
In addition, we foresee the opening of our second factory in Lanklaar in Limburg in 2022. The state-of-the-art infrastructure is the icing on the cake of our technological progress and guarantees our customers a quality service at all times.
